According to an interview with ScreenRant, Bernstein suggested the best approach would be to capture the same feeling and themes as Tom Clancy’s work, but in an original story.

Four years later, Prime Video released a new television series based on the character Jack Ryan. John Krasinski plays Ryan, following in the tradition of actors like Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine who have portrayed the character in films. In the show, Ryan is a CIA analyst who moves from desk work to field investigations, working to uncover shocking crimes and stop dangerous criminals.
The TV series Jack Ryan was well-received by critics, achieving an 80% average score on Rotten Tomatoes and receiving nominations for prestigious awards like the Emmys, SAG Awards, and Critics’ Choice Awards. Prime Video concluded the show in 2023 after four seasons.
John Krasinski will return as Jack Ryan in the upcoming movie Ghost War. The film also features Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel, Sienna Miller, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild. In addition to acting, Krasinski is also a producer on the project, alongside Allyson Seeger, Andrew Form, Carlton Cuse, and Graham Roland.
