According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, actress Remley died by suicide on Thursday, December 18th, at the age of 44, as confirmed to People magazine.

In 2023, Linda Remley received media attention after being found guilty in a plot to have her husband, Mark Remley, murdered. Reports from People magazine state she was arrested after offering an undercover officer money to kill him.
According to NBC San Diego, the woman admitted guilt to asking someone to commit murder and received a sentence of three years and eight months in prison.

In divorce documents, Remley stated she and a friend were at the house when the fire broke out, but she didn’t know what caused it, as reported by The Coast News. Her husband, however, told the publication he suspects the fire was deliberately started after he found out she allegedly plotted to have him killed.
According to The Coast News, the Remleys were married in 2011. People magazine reported that before a fire damaged their home, the couple had gone through periods of separation and getting back together. The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office has charged Mrs. Remley with arson related to the fire, and she is due back in court on March 3, 2026.
Mark recently shared with The New York Post that his former partner contacted him with complaints about her new boyfriend shortly before she tragically took her own life.
She called me on FaceTime from a bathroom and said, ‘I’m with someone who’s being really rude,’ he explained.
Mark said they got back in touch after she got out of prison and started dating again. However, he admitted to secretly recording her confessing to starting the fire, and then warning her about the police.
