アラスカン・ブッシュ・ ピープルのスターマット・ ブラウンの死に関する新たな詳細が明らかになった。
6月1日月曜日に発行されたプレスリリースによると、オカノガン郡検視局は、ワシントン州オーロビル近くのオカノガン川で死体で発見された男性の身元を特定したと発表した。
5月27日、オカノガン郡保安官事務所は、川でうつぶせに浮いている人が発見されたと検視局に通報した。
当局者によると、川の流れが速かったため当初の発見と救出は失敗したが、捜索は数日間続いた。
Three days later, the Coroner‘s Office was informed that a body had been found further down the river from where the initial search began.
According to a press release, authorities worked with the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office to identify the deceased as Matthew J. Brown, a 43-year-old resident of Oroville, Washington. A family member at the scene confirmed the identification.
The Coroner’s Office stated that an autopsy will be performed soon to find out how the person died.
Matt’s brother, Bear Brown, announced on Saturday, May 30th, that Matt had passed away and his body had been found. He was 43 years old. Bear also mentioned that their brother, Noah Brown, was with the group who discovered Matt’s remains.
Noah, 33, told Us Weekly on Sunday, March 31st, that they had found the man after he went missing in the river. He explained that the body was with the coroner, who will be performing an autopsy to determine how he died, but the results weren’t available yet.
I was present when they found him. The small team that discovered the body didn’t leave it where it was; instead, they put him in a small boat and brought him to shore. The rest of us then pulled the boat further up the beach, and that’s where the body was when the coroner arrived.
Noah confirmed he identified his brother, and the family is now considering their next steps.
We’re waiting for the coroner’s report, which we expect sometime Monday or Tuesday, to understand what happened next. Right now, we’re still processing the loss.
