It’s such a fun story about four zoo animals who unexpectedly find themselves stranded on Madagascar island. It’s hilarious watching them try to figure out how to survive in the wild when they’re so used to being taken care of!

Madagascar is a really funny movie, with standout scenes like when Alex the lion attempts to call for help – all the humans hear is roaring! The voice acting is excellent, featuring Ben Stiller and Chris Rock, but Sacha Baron Cohen is particularly hilarious and steals the show.

Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan (2006)

Sacha Baron Cohen became widely known in the mid-2000s, building on his success in the movie Madagascar with his most famous character. In Borat, he plays a man from another country who travels to the United States and is completely unfamiliar with American culture.

The movie follows Borat as he gets into outrageous situations, like performing his country’s anthem at a rodeo, hanging out with college students, and attempting to win over Pamela Anderson. It quickly became a huge cultural hit, and a successful sequel was released more than ten years later.

One Of Them Days (2025)

Some of the funniest movies are simple stories about a few people and what happens to them in a single day. Films like Superbad, Friday, and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle prove this point. And a recent movie from 2025, centering on female characters, is already considered a top comedy.

In the movie One of Them Days, Keke Palmer and SZA (making her first appearance in a film) play roommates facing eviction. They have until the end of the day to come up with the rent, and their attempts to do so are often hilariously chaotic. Palmer and SZA have fantastic chemistry, elevating the movie from good to exceptional.

Zombieland (2009)

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Robin Williams is a true comedy icon. By some point in his career, films almost seemed designed to simply showcase his incredible talent, and Mrs. Doubtfire is a great example of that.

I have to say, one of the most genuinely fun and creative animated movies I’ve seen recently is The Mitchells vs. The Machines. It came out directly on Netflix, and the story is just brilliant – it’s about this really quirky, slightly chaotic family who end up in the middle of a robot uprising while they’re driving their daughter off to college. It’s a wild ride!

At its heart, The Mitchells vs. The Machines is a touching story with a great cast of voice actors, including Maya Rudolph and Danny McBride. It’s also visually stunning and genuinely funny.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Few romantic comedies are as beloved as Pretty Woman. The film truly showcases Julia Roberts at her best, featuring one of her most memorable performances.

The film centers around a woman who is paid to be a companion to a rich man, accompanying him to events, and they unexpectedly fall in love.
