Duhamel, 53, and Mari, 32, announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram this Saturday, May 17th, sharing photos of the newborn. They simply wrote, “Our baby girl is here 🤍🕊️.”
Fergie, age 51, was quick to express her joy about the new baby, leaving a comment with just a few pink ribbon and heart emojis: “🎀🎀💗💗.”
Fergie and Josh Duhamel were married for eight years, from 2009 to 2017, and had a son named Axl, who is now 12. Josh Duhamel later married Audrey Mari in 2022, and they welcomed a son named Shepherd in 2024.
Since Fergie and her ex-husband, the actor from Ransom Canyon, separated, they’ve both made a strong effort to raise their son, Axl, in a friendly and cooperative way.
Josh Duhamel recently shared on the “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless” podcast that he and his ex-wife, Fergie, have a positive relationship. He praised her character and parenting skills, and also noted that she gets along well with his current wife.
He said he was relieved things were going well and that everyone was getting along peacefully. Maintaining that positive atmosphere was his main concern.
In March, Duhamel and Mari shared the exciting news that they are expecting their second child, a revelation that Fergie also happily acknowledged.
“Welcome the cuteness! 💖💖,” Fergie wrote via Instagram comment at the time.
As for Duhamel, he is always working on becoming the best possible dad to his kids as he can.
The actor shared with Us Weekly in September 2025 that they frequently feel guilty about the demands of their work keeping them from their child. They often try to make up for it by going out of their way to be present, but also want their child to understand that working hard is necessary to support the family.
Duhamel explained that being a constantly present parent is difficult when you’re also working. While it’s important to set a good example, he also feels like he misses out on everyday moments that a traditional 9-to-5 dad might experience. He described it as a continuous challenge and admitted it’s not an easy balance to strike.
Duhamel further praised both Fergie and Mari with helping him stay present.
He explained that everyone needs to collaborate to ensure the project’s success. He pointed out that working in locations like Vancouver or New Mexico offers more flexibility, but Cape Town presents a unique challenge. Once team members are committed to being in Cape Town, there’s no easy way to return home on weekends, making it a difficult situation for those involved.
