アスレチックディレクターのトム・モアランド氏によると、トレド大学はエヴァ・モラン氏の逝去を深く悲しんでいるとのこと。彼は、エヴァは傑出した学生アスリートであり、その意欲、優れた性格、前向きな姿勢が彼女を知るすべての人々の人生に影響を与えたと述べた。

金曜日の夕方5時30分頃に事故のことを知り、とてもショックを受けました。 13ABCトレドによると、モランさんは2012年型ヒュンダイ・エラントラを運転中、運悪く私道に転がりかけていた別の車と衝突したようだ。まさにひどい状況です。
モランさんは自分の車と前の車の間に十分なスペースを残しておらず、衝突を引き起こしました。その後、彼女の車は対向車線に逸れ、別の車と衝突しました。モランさんは車から投げ出され、マリオン総合病院で悲劇的に死亡した。
巻き込まれた他の2人のドライバーは軽傷で治療を受けた。

It wasn’t just about her own performance, though; she genuinely cared about her teammates and always approached things with a fantastic attitude. She was always eager to learn and get better, and you could tell how proud she was to be a Rocket!
Oh my gosh, even though she only vaulted for Toledo for one season, she was incredible! She immediately became a star, finishing 10th at the MAC Outdoor Championships with a jump of 3.57 meters! Can you believe that’s the sixth-best jump ever in Toledo pole vaulting history? I was absolutely blown away!
Besides track and field, Moran played basketball and ran cross country while attending River Valley High School in Caledonia, Ohio.
