Diddy Claims Racist Law Targets Him in Prostitution Charge Dismissal Request

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ lawyers are trying to drop the charge of transporting someone for prostitution, arguing that he is being unfairly singled out by this law, which they believe is biased and discriminatory.

On Tuesday, lawyers for the embattled hip-hop magnate submitted documents (acquired by DailyMail.com) requesting the judge to throw out charge number 3 in the case brought against him by the U.S. Attorney.

Diddy, who was once in a relationship with Cassie Ventura and has been accused of making her procure male escorts, is now facing charges under the Mann Act (or White-Slave Traffic Act), an old federal law from 1910 that forbids transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution.

Lawyers for Diddy argue that historically, the law has unfairly targeted Black men, using notable figures like rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Chuck Berry and boxing champion Jack Johnson as evidence of this disparity.

They argue that no white individual has faced a comparable prosecution in a manner analogous to the situation, using the example of former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. In his case, escorts were indicted, yet Spitzer himself avoided charges.

In a somewhat clear admission, Diddy appears to acknowledge the act – employing male escorts over state borders – yet argues that he is unfairly targeted due to his racial background.

The original stated purpose of the Mann Act was to combat interstate prostitution.

This rule makes it illegal to transfer people between states for the purposes of prostitution, excessive indulgence, or any other immoral activity.

As an ardent admirer of Diddy, I can’t help but express my concerns about the recent allegations. Federal authorities suggest that he engaged male sex workers for his private parties, which he vehemently denies. He believes he is being unjustly targeted and prosecuted, arguing that this conduct is often overlooked due to his status as a powerful black man.

I firmly believe, as he states, that the utilization of escorts, whether male or female, has become a norm and is generally accepted within contemporary American society. Furthermore, I concur with him that the escort service connected to his case is a legitimate commercial enterprise, openly conducted without any hidden agendas.

Lawyers for him argue that the authorities have built a criminal case predominantly on accusations that Mr. Combs, along with two of his long-term partners, occasionally involved a third person – a male companion – in their intimate relationships.

According to Diddy’s legal team, there hasn’t been a case like a RICO prosecution in the past. Moreover, they state that no individual, and undoubtedly no white person, has ever faced charges under the White-Slave Traffic Act for employing male escorts from another state before.

According to the lawyers, they claim that the Mann Act, since its creation, has frequently functioned in a racially discriminatory manner.

The focus of this law was on the subject of black male sexuality. Notably, it was often used to prosecute well-known black men such as Jack Johnson and Chuck Berry, who were accused of engaging in sexually inappropriate behaviors.

1959 saw the arrest and conviction of Berry under the Mann Act, while Johnson, the pioneering African-American heavyweight boxing champion, faced a similar fate under the same act back in 1913.

As a devoted observer, I’ve noticed that influential white men, such as former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, have found themselves entangled in similar activities. Yet, these gentlemen were never indicted under the Act. It’s a common pattern among affluent, high-profile couples to incorporate third parties into their intimate relationships, often for compensation, either explicitly or implicitly. This behavior has not historically led to liability under the Mann Act.

In 2008, it was exposed that Spitzer had been frequenting an expensive escort service, leading to him being embroiled in a scandal involving prostitution.

Even though those running the escort service faced charges under the Mann Act, Spitzer himself avoided these charges. Later on, he chose to resign from his role as Governor.

According to prosecutors, it is claimed that Diddy’s infamous parties involved him giving women drugs and then forcing them into prolonged sexual activities with male escorts, supposedly against their will.

According to the indictment, it is claimed that the individuals under scrutiny were associated with sex workers and illegal substances like ketamine, ecstasy, and GHB. The accusation states that Combs provided these drugs to the victims in order to maintain their obedience and compliance.

Sean “Diddy,” following the dismissal of a lawsuit accusing him and Jay-Z of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl, has faced allegations in the past that he coerced his ex-girlfriend Cassie to arrange male escorts to cater to his voyeuristic inclinations.

In the year 2023, Cassie took legal action against someone by filing a lawsuit in Manhattan’s Federal District Court. She asserted that this individual had exercised power over her for more than ten years, mistreated and physically harmed her, provided her with illicit substances, assaulted her, made her engage in sexual activities with numerous male escorts while he was present, engaging in self-pleasure and recording the events.

Cassie’s lawsuit was settled the next day, and the case was dismissed.

Instead, it’s worth noting that Diddy faced charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution at a later point.

He’s been confined in prison ever since his arrest last year, and the court has repeatedly refused to grant him bail.

Diddy is currently facing a three-count indictment in federal court.

Apart from his current predicament, he’s dealing with numerous civil court cases that accuse him of various forms of sexual abuse, inappropriate behavior, and unprofessional actions.

Combs has vigorously refuted all accusations ever since they became public knowledge, and he pleaded innocent following the initial filing of charges against him.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m sharing an update about a music sensation from Bad Boy Records. Unfortunately, he finds himself behind bars, as he’s been turned down thrice by two distinct judges regarding his bail requests. His upcoming criminal trial, set for May 5, will keep him incarcerated until then.

He is facing life in prison if he is found guilty of the racketeering charge.
