In an attempt to condense approximately ten books’ worth of content into just 90 minutes, the filmmakers ended up creating a jumbled mess. The narrative was so confusing and the quality so poor that it managed to make me feel cheated even though I hadn’t spent a dime beyond my regular subscription fee! It takes a truly exceptional level of streaming movie mediocrity to achieve that feat, but “Artemis Fowl” did it with style.

The animated movie ‘Marmaduke’ boasts an average Letterboxd score of 1.28, which is a testament to its unattractiveness and lack of visual appeal. I sincerely hope that no other animated film can be uglier than this one, for my sake. At times, it seems as though ‘Marmaduke’ was produced as part of a money laundering scheme or one of those odd agreements where the creators have to make something by a certain deadline, regardless of quality.
Despite the atrocious animation, ‘Marmaduke’ boasts a talented voice cast, including J.K. Simmons, David Koechner, and Pete Davidson. One wonders if they were not shown the script or the hideous characters they would be portraying. Or perhaps each was offered a private Caribbean island in exchange for their services? Regardless, ‘Marmaduke’ is nothing more than filthy, unrefined garbage.

Interestingly, it seems to work, albeit perversely, as an argument against the idea of a public domain. If strict copyright laws can prevent such trash from being produced and exposed to unwitting audiences, perhaps it isn’t so terrible after all? Unfortunately, “Blood and Honey” proves itself to be an unforgivable heap of garbage.
