Any Fast & Furious Show Needs Significant Movie Connections To Work
For the new live-action Fast & Furious series to succeed, it needs to establish its own unique feel, but it doesn’t need to be radically different from what fans already love. Any Fast & Furious show needs strong ties to the movies, and this new series is no exception. Spy Racers understood this – even though it aimed at a younger audience, it knew that creating a completely separate world wouldn’t work. As a huge Fast & Furious fan, I’m really excited to see Peacock take a swing at a live-action series! It seems like they’re smart to explore a different angle of the franchise than just focusing on Dom Toretto and his family – they don’t want to just copy Spy Racers, and that’s a good thing. But what will really make it work, in my opinion, is keeping some connection to the original movies, maybe even having some familiar faces pop up. Spy Racers proved there’s an appetite for this universe, and I have a feeling this next step for Fast & Furious is going to be a blast.
